Man arrested after woman assaulted in Grangemouth

Police sped to a property in Grangemouth this afternoon after a report of an assault which left a 44-year-old woman injured.

The incident happened just before 12.30pm in Torwood Avenue, near Sacred Heart Primary School.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers in Grangemouth received a report of an assault outside a property in Torwood Avenue around 12.25pm on Wednesday, 17 March.

“A 44-year-old woman suffered minor injury and did not require any medical attention. Police arrested a 54-year-old man in connection with the incident. Enquiries are ongoing.”
